Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador
Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador is dedicated to enriching the lives of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians with an intellectual disability through sport. Training and competition in sport while having fun, developing skills and building self-esteem, is the life of a Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador athlete. With 15 core sports, Special Olympics NL has something for every person with an intellectual disability. The opportunities to excel and have fun come with benefits of improved health and self-image. For many athletes, participating in SONL is a path to healthy living, empowerment, acceptance and friendship.
