A hand outline in white light reaches for white glowing cogs hovering in the air in front of a laptop like holograms. Text reads Global Accessibility Awareness Day - Presentations for Employees and Employers, with Digital Accessibility and Adaptive Technology Expert Jim Escott. The Autism @ Work and EmpowerNL logos are in the lower left corner.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is a day promoting digital inclusion and accessibility for persons with disabilities. In partnership with Autism@Work, we are offering two special presentations from Jim Escott, a leading expert in digital accessibility and adaptive technologies with more that 25 years experience in corporate, not -for -profit, and government IT departments.

For Employers:

Digital Tools to Accommodate Neurodiverse Employees

Accommodating employees does not have to be difficult or expensive! A lot of challenges can be supported using free or inexpensive apps,
adaptive technologies, and by optimizing accessible features that are built into the technologies your teams are already using.

(InclusionNL is a program of Empower providing Employer supports to increase disability confidence.)

For Employees:

Using AI (Artificial Intelligence) as a Pre -Employment Skill

AI can help to support you in getting employment by assisting with your job search, in adapting and optimizing resumes and cover letters
to match employers’ specific needs, and in planning and practicing for an interview. We will also discuss ethical use of AI.

Digital accessibility helps everyone! Don’t miss your chance to learn from an expert in the field.
